 Utsunomiya Woods Park
Utsunomiya, only 100 km from Tokyo, has an urbane atmosphere, while in the suburbs there is still a lot of greenery.
The landscape rich in fresh green grass in bright sunshine is feasts to your eyes.

 Tochigi Prefecural Central Park
This is the park with huge site featuring the water, greenery and culture. In the park are a big fountain,ponds and French style garden.
The park is beautiful all the year round and an oasis for Utsunomiya citizens.
Tochigi Prefectural Museum lies in the park.

 Forest Park For Children
The park is for the use of children in the open air.
In the huge site are a suspension brudge, a tunnel and various playground equipments.
Kids can enjoy to their heart’s content.

 Cultural Forest of Utsunomiya
It lies on the verdant 26-hecter-hilly terrain.
Workshops and observation of nature world are held there. In the site is Utsunomiya Museum of Art which contains lots of facilities such as a museum, shops and restaurant.

 Remains of Ancient Utsunomiya
The large village in the Johmon Period(ca.3,500BC) is called Negoyadai Remains and part of excavations are designated as the Imporatnt Cultural Asset.
The museum exhibiting the restored buildinds of Johmon period and mode of burial are worth seeing.

> From JR Utsunomiya, get on the Kanto Bus bound for Nireki via Driving licence Center, 30 minutes bus ride will take you to the access to Hijiriyama.

 Hundred Caves at Nagaoka
You’ll be wondered at the sight of caves made of volcanic rocks.The 52 caves on the hillside are ancient tumuli. Each caves with the depth of about 1 meter has images of kannon carved on the inside wall.
The legend goes:they are the overnight works of high priest,Kohbo-Daishi.

 Sweating Amida (Ikkoji Temple)
It is said this Sweating Amida has a power to predicate a national disaster by sweating.
It sweated too much to wipe away just before the Kanto Disaster.
It is designated as a National Important Cultural Asset. In case of visit, application needed.

 Old residence of Noguchi Ujo
The famous peot, Noguchi Ujo Known as the composer of children’s songs-”Red shoes” “Shining Full Moon” lived here in his later life to take shelter from the devastation of world war?.
In the yard, his monument stands.
