Souvenir Kibuna is a folk craft of Utsunomiya. It is said that once upon a time, a man caught a big yellow carp, Kibuna, and smallpox patient got well after eating that. Since then Kibuna is loved by people of Utsunomiya as a charm for good health. Fukubezaiku, a folk craft made of bottle gourd, a special product of Utsunomiya, and processed goods of Ohya stone are also special products we are proud of. Deliverable frozen Gyoza, several kinds of Japanese sweets made from local ingredients, local beer which won the first prize at the international beer competition and Sake made from high-quality water of the Kanto plain are also our pride. |
